Alex Knapp is a director/producer/actor.
Raised in Portland, Oregon, educated in New York City.
Alex now splits his time between Brooklyn and Hudson, NY.
He received a degree in Culture and Media from The New School University, Eugene Lang College. While there he created numerous films, played college basketball, and worked as a writing assistant for writer/director Laurie Collyer (Sherrybaby, Sunlight Jr).
Alex directed and starred in the online comedy series TWO PA’S (Funnyordie.com). He was then cast in the lead role for the high school horror-comedy film BAD EXORCISTS, and SciFi feature ALIEN vs ZOMBIES.
Meanwhile, he was working behind the camera for notable production companies Anonymous Content, Serial Pictures, CBS Productions, and Scott Free.
His directorial feature debut GO / DON'T GO was released on VOD platforms on January 2021 to positive critical reviews, and after a successful festival run, which saw Knapp win the 45th Boston SciFi Film Festival Director's award.
He is currently in development on a mysterious SciFi-Thriller CALIFORNIA CITY, and dark indie-noir NIGHT OF YOUR LIFE, while directing and producing commercials, music videos, and corporate branded content under his co-owed production company A+M CREATIVE.
